Charlize Theron is sporting a new look, which she shared on her Instagram, tagging her inspiration, Michelle Pfeiffer. She transitioned from her signature platinum blonde hair to a gold hue with frontal bangs and a shoulder-length bob flicked outwards.
Theron’s new look is none other than that of Michelle’s character, Elvira Hancock, from 1983’s Scarface. The 49-year-old showed off in a sultry outfit featuring a red silk dress complete with a fur coat, gold jewelry, and matching high heels.

Theron ended her carousel with a throwback photo of Michelle in character as Elvira, and one could hardly tell the difference. “An ode to the best to ever do it. Love you @michellepfeifferofficial,” her caption read. Michelle responded in the comments, saying she was speechless upon seeing the photos. “Love you too,” she wrote.
Michelle’s character was the glamorous cocaine-addicted trophy wife of drug lord Frank Lopez, played by Robbert Loggia. Michelle was initially rejected for the role by director Brian De Palma after he watched Grease 2; however, he changed his mind thanks to producer Martin Bregman. Playing Elvira is arguably one of Michelle’s career highlights, although the movie was highly criticized for violence at the time.
Fans react to Charlize Theron’s latest photos
Michelle was not the only one blown away by Theron’s new look as fans flocked to the comments section in their thousands to compliment her. “Words are not enough to explain, it can only be understood when experienced,” a fan gushed poetically, while another added that Theron is from another world.
Some were more concerned about the cigarette in Theron’s hand, which she possibly held to look just like Elvira. “Disturbing that smoking seems to be making a fashionable comeback,” a troll wrote, with a fourth person asking if Theron smokes in real life.
