As Pat Sajak retires from host duties on the long-running game show Wheel of Fortune, he has hearty plans for the life that awaits him. During one of his recent media rounds, Pat declared his yearning for a grandkid, which he expects from his 27-year-old daughter, Maggie Sajak.
While revealing his simple post-retirement plans, Pat admitted to being “perfectly happy,” except that he wants to keep playing crossword puzzles and spending time with Maggie’s kid. After Pat’s last episode, which was also the finale for season 41, he admitted that he was just getting used to a new life and was taking his wife.
Is Maggie Sajak having kids soon?
Although Maggie has yet to address becoming a mother soon, she is currently engaged to Ross McCall, who is nearly two decades older and a well-known actor. Ross was famously engaged to Alessandra Mastronardi in 2021 and even popped the question to Jennifer Love Hewitt about 14 years before. Maggie and Ross have been together for quite a while and were recently spotted strolling and sharing kisses on the streets of Los Angeles.

As for Pat, he appears to be signaling the couple to take things further and begin making babies. An insider revealed that he wants up to three grandkids, and is wondering what the delay in childbearing is all about. Another source revealed that Pat approves of Jack, and sees “son-in-law potential in him.”
The host claimed that there is no pressure on her daughter to make him a grandfather
While expressing his foremost desire for his new phase, Pat clarified that Maggie is under “no pressure” to start a family regardless of his desire. Maggie and her Scottish beau have also faced backlash for their age gap, especially because Ross seems to have a pattern of dating younger women. Interestingly, Maggie also comes from a couple with a wide age difference as her mother, Lesly was 24 when she married 43-year-old Pat.
Maggie is currently focused on her job as the social media correspondent for Wheel of Fortune and may be looking forward to taking the co-host position after Vanna White, just like Ryan Seacrest did following Pat’s departure. Her cheerful and endearing demeanor has made the game show audience become fans of her, too, as they root for her to become a TV personality like Pat.
