Barry Williams fulfilled his desire to beat his TV sister, Maureen McCormick, as the longest-lasting Brady Bunch star on Dancing With The Stars. The actor and his pro dance partner Peta Murgatroyd were eliminated on Tuesday’s Whitney Houston night episode after a stunning performance.
Maureen made it to week seven in season 23, while their TV mom, the late Florence Henderson, got eliminated on season eleven’s week five. Greg set the record by making it to week eight of season 32, after which he unexpectedly lost.
Barry gets his lick back
Barry lost a bet to Maureen on an episode of the famous ‘70s series, and DWTS was the perfect scenario for his payback. “I have to do that. I lost that egg on the cone driving contest and she never let me live it down,” he said. “This experience is what life is always like with the Bradys, and that is like a family. This is what we do for our sisters, our brothers, for our family— and it’s very gratifying.”

Barry ended his time on the show with an amazing performance that ended with him ripping his shirt open. The audience cheered and chanted his name, and the judges complimented his moves. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba called it the “best dance yet,” while Bruno Tonioli termed it “perfect.”
Support from the Brady family
Barry was inspired to join the dancing competition thanks to his late co-star, Florence, who asked him to go for it. “She had always mentored me in one way or another,” he said. “She knew that I had been active theatrically in a lot of musicals, and she thought this would be a great fit for me.”
Maureen and Christopher Knight, who played his siblings on the show, have also shown their support on social media and in the audience. “Maureen has reached out several times,” the 69-year-old told People in October. “I have a lot of Brady support.”
