Madonna’s eldest daughter, Lourdes Leon, who goes by the artist name Lolahol, shared a clip from her “Spelling” music video recently. The snap featured a haunted theme with Lourdes wearing a witchy black dress just like her mother’s in 1998’s “Frozen.”
Lourdes made her appearance even spookier with white contact lenses while strutting around the deep woods as she sang. Like Madonna, she also wore her long dark hair in a braided crown as she channeled a similar gothic style in her Jean Paul Gaultier gown.
Lourdes pays homage to her mother
As a nod to Madonna, Lourdes captioned the Instagram post, saying it was “special” and “an homage to my mother’s timeless piece of art, Frozen.” She added that “Frozen” has always been a way to connect with her mom throughout her life.

“I would be nothing without the woman who brought me into the world. I revere her, and hope that this translates,” she added. The 26-year-old singer is also known for dressing like Madonna on multiple occasions— from her metal mesh-dress to lace-up corsets and a cutout catsuit, Lourdes is a chip off the old block.
Fan reactions to Lourdes’ tribute theme
Fans were pleased by the sweet words and nostalgic visuals from the “Spelling” singer. “Cool that she’s paying homage to her mum’s ‘Frozen.’ Love the song, artistry & especially when the tempo picks up near the end,” a fan wrote.
She also gained some new fans who just discovered her music side via the post. “I have to say, I was not aware of her career, and the fact that who is her mother, I thought this was going to be some plastic cash grab…but wow this is amazing, Frozen is my favorite Madonna song, and this is a rebooted homage, it’s absolutely delicious,” an impressed user added.
