Susan Lucci stunned her followers as she rocked a pretty mini dress while in Italy. The 76-year-old actress, who lost her husband last year, also got criticized for her photos by people who thought it was too soon to be out and about as a widow. “Since Helmut died, she’s all over the world enjoying herself, really never saw a mourning period,” a fan observed.
Her late husband of over fifty years, Helmut Huber, died in New York at the age of 84. Susan on her life with Helmut during a Good Day New York segment to mark American Heart Month. “I just miss him and he’s worth missing. He was really, really the love of my life,” she said, adding that she is not ready to date again.

While the actress faced backlash over her trips and photos, fans defended her, asserting that people grieve differently. “Perhaps she kept her mourning private? She is continuing to live as we all do when we lose someone. Wish her happiness,” someone responded.

Life without Helmut
At the 49th Daytime Emmy Awards in June 2022, Susan paid tribute to Helmut during the Memoriam segment. “My husband, Helmet Huber, was a larger-than-life force of nature. He was a confident caregiver who knew exactly how to make things happen and to keep us all laughing at the same time. Helmut loved and was so proud of our magnificent children and our grandchildren,” she gushed nostalgically.
Contrary to the assumption that Susan did not grieve her late spouse, she tearfully opened up about life without him in February. “He was great…he was the love of my life, and he—he was spectacular and so, coping and dealing, that’s what you do, you put one foot in front of the other,” she said. She also expressed gratitude for her supportive friends who comforted her since Helmut died.
