Thanksgiving is always a time to celebrate with family and friends. For Madonna, this year’s celebration was no different as she got to spend it in the company of her six children.
The 64-year-old is not fond of posting her family photos, but this year’s Thanksgiving was quite different as she wanted the world to know how grateful she is for her children. The pop star posted a collection of photos from her family’s holiday of Instagram, featuring her and the children, which she captioned, “What I’m thankful for.”

The first image on Madonna’s photo carousel was of her with her oldest child, Lourdes Leon, who is 26 years old, whom she shares with her ex-husband Carlos Leon. The second photo featured the actress appearing all glammed up alongside her 6 children, Lourdes, Rocco, David, Mercy, Stella, and Estere. The mother of six rocked an all-black lace corset dress posing alongside Leon, who wore a black outfit to the match.

Also, Rocco was in a suit, while David was seen donning a sky-blue turtleneck in the company of Mercy, who stands out in a green dress. The twins, Estere and Stella, who were adopted in 2012 in Malawi, were spotted playing with some DJ gear while spending time together at the family hangout.
Madonna adores her children
It is no secret that the Grammy winner admires her children and loves being a mother. To celebrate her children, she got her first tattoo in 2020 at the age of 62. Detailing the inking process on her Instagram, she revealed that the wrist tattoo contained the initials of each of her children.
Madonna has always wished for a large family and values her time with her children. The singer spoke candidly about her adoption process in a 2017 interview with People. “It’s inexplicable,” she explained how she felt meeting her adopted children. “It’s like saying, ‘Why do you fall in love with the people you fall in love with?’ You look into the eyes of somebody; you feel their soul, you feel touched by them – that’s it.”
“It’s like they were always here,” she disclosed how close her children are with her and themselves. “It didn’t take long for them to get acclimated. … And they’ve learned, in time, that I’m their mother and nothing is going to change that.”
Madonna supports her children’s career
Madonna continues to show undaunting support for her children’s chosen career path and even makes tough choices to allow them to grow. She had to relocate her whole family to Lisbon, Portugal to support David’s football passion.
“Any woman who is a soccer mom could say it kind of requires you to have no life in a way, because things change from week to week and games change from weekend to weekend — sometimes they’re in the city, sometimes they’re not, and we would never know until Thursday night whether they’re on Saturday or Sunday, if at 12 or later,” Madonna revealed to Vogue Italia in 2018 of the decision to relocate. “It’s impossible to make plans, and then you feel like you’re not being fair to your other kids, or being fair to me!”
