It’s Dorothy!
Dorothy’s magical Ruby slippers were actually one of many made for the filming of The Wizard of Oz. One of these pairs is on display at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. According to the museum, the pair on display was worn by Judy Garland during dance scenes. Fans of the novel published in 1900 by L. Frank Baum will recall that the slippers worn by the literary character were silver, not red. The Smithsonian states these Ruby slippers are one of the most popular displays in the museum.
