One of the boys from Liverpool to become 1/4 of The Beatles. McCartney was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II on March 11, 1997. The world-renowned hit, Hey Jude, was written by McCartney intended for John Lennon’s son, Julian; “Jude” becoming an adaptation of “Jules.”
