It’s A Curb Feeler!
The last thing anyone with a Hot Rod in the 1950’s wanted to do is ruin their rims! That’s why curb feelers were used! These springs and wires attached near the wheels of a vehicle to alert drivers when they are at the correct distance from the curb while parking. If a driver was too close to the curb, the wires would scrape against it and make a noise to warn them to fix their parking job! How cool!
