Those Popular Ceramic Christmas Trees From The ’60s Are Back And Better Than Ever

Ceramic Christmas trees were extremely popular back in the 60s and 70s. If you were growing up in that time period, you probably remember your grandmother owning one of these or still have one yourself! There’s nothing more magical than bringing Christmas past into Christmas present with some old-fashioned decorations.

Thankfully for ceramic Christmas tree lovers, these decorations are coming back to major retailers this Christmas season! Target, Amazon, and even Urban Outfitters are selling these popular trees with the same exact design as the ones from the 60s and 70s. They are truly gaining popularity once more!

Urban Outfitters

These ceramic trees are on the pricey side but are true to the original design of the 60s decoration. The tree has an on and off switch implemented, so you won’t have to worry about trying to bend down and reach the outlet to turn off the tree at night. It’s 17 inches tall and is going for $69.

Etsy

Etsy thankfully has sellers that will post tons of vintage ceramic Christmas trees that will have you nostalgic for an old-fashioned Christmas this year. They sell 7-inch trees (like the one pictured) for $25. The one in the photo is actually straight out of the 1970s!

Ceramic trees, while rising to its truest pedestal of fame in the 1970s, have actually been around since the 1960s. As technology has improved over the decades, the molds that have been made to create these items have also improved over the years, meaning we now get to enjoy higher-quality ceramic Christmas trees (like the one sold at Urban Outfitters).
