It has been taken up and dropped and then taken up again numerous times by different networks, all due to its immense popularity. 4. in 1996, Don LaFontaine did the voice over for the show as its narrator. LaFontaine did about 5000 movie trailers and was given monikers like “Thunder Throat” and “The Voice of God.”
