Two of Hollywood’s most familiar faces walked a Paris runway on Monday, and neither one looked like she was counting birthdays. Jane Fonda, 88, and Andie MacDowell, 68, both modeled in the L’Oréal Paris show held near the Eiffel Tower during Paris Fashion Week. According to Parade, Fonda wore a floor-length red sequin gown and “stole the show while strutting down the runway.” One fan quoted by the outlet summed it up simply: “There goes a wonderful lady in red.”
MacDowell took a gentler approach. Parade reports that she chose a white sheath gown, blew kisses to the crowd and drew a heart in the air with her fingers as she walked. Rehearsal videos shared by Vanity Fair France showed her chatting with other stars while her hair was still in curlers, a sight fans adored. Asked what she would tell her younger self, the ‘Groundhog Day’ star answered, “It’s all gonna work out.” MacDowell has been a L’Oréal spokeswoman since 1986, which makes this a 40-year partnership.
Jane Fonda Keeps Working At 88

The two actresses shared the catwalk with Viola Davis, Eva Longoria, Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne, according to Parade and the BBC. The night ended with a surprise performance by Celine Dion. Fonda was born on December 21, 1937, and she has not slowed down since accepting the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award last year, a night DYR covered when she delivered her acceptance speech.
She is also attached to star in a film adaptation of the novel ‘The Correspondent.’ A red sequin gown in Paris is just the latest proof that she still enjoys the work.
