Pamela Anderson is leading the charge on aging with pride

Pamela Anderson is entering a powerful new chapter of life and career while challenging Hollywood’s traditional ideas about beauty and aging. Once known mainly as a 1990s sex symbol, the actress now speaks openly about growth, healing, and learning to live more intentionally after years of intense public scrutiny.

The actress reflected on that transformation during a recent appearance at the Soho Summit festival in England. She explained that time and perspective helped her rethink the painful experiences that once defined her public image and personal struggles.

According to Grazia magazine, the actress’s makeup-free appearances at Paris Fashion Week in 2023 became a turning point in how many people viewed her. She explained that her decision started simply because she preferred spending time exploring museums rather than sitting for hours in a makeup chair. Pamela Anderson later embraced the bare-faced look even more strongly when people insisted she could not appear publicly without makeup. Instead of backing down, she leaned into the criticism and described herself as becoming rebellious in response.

The actress also launched her skincare brand Sonsie, which focuses on vegan and cruelty-free products. She personally funds the company and says she carefully chooses ingredients and packaging because sustainability and ethics matter deeply to her. Most importantly, she says she no longer feels interested in chasing youth or trying to appear younger than she is.

A New Creative Era Has Changed Her Life

The actress also experienced a major creative resurgence through her acclaimed film The Last Showgirl, directed by Gia Coppola. The project almost never reached her after an old agent reportedly rejected the script before she even saw it.

Pamela Anderson eventually connected with Coppola through her son Brandon and immediately felt connected to the role. She now describes this stage of life as the most exciting period she has ever experienced creatively because each project helps heal another part of her life. Today, the actress divides her time between acting, writing, and caring for her grandmother’s farm in Canada. She says returning to that land reminds her who she truly is beneath the celebrity image the world once placed on her.
