Rumer Willis recently shared a quick and hopeful update about her dad, Bruce Willis, while promoting her new film, Trail of Vengeance. Speaking with Extra, she said, “He’s great. He’s really good,” and confirmed she will be spending Father’s Day with him, a sign of their strong bond.
Bruce stopped acting in 2022 after doctors found he had aphasia. The following year, his family shared that he was living with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Since then, they have remained close and cared for him together.

In her new movie, which is a Western full of action and stunts, Rumer steps into roles similar to the ones her dad was known for before he retired in 2022. She said that doing the fight scenes made her feel powerful and proud. On set, she told her stunt coach, “I’ve got a big-time legacy to live up to,” showing how much she respects and wants to honor her dad’s work. She is truly inspired by him.
She plans to show the film to her dad, hoping he will be proud. Bruce may not be acting anymore, but his love for performing lives on through Rumer.
Bruce Willis’s family supports him through it all
Bruce has three daughters—Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah with his ex-wife Demi Moore, and two younger daughters, Mabel and Evelyn, with his wife Emma. Even though he and Demi are not together anymore, she is still very present in his life and visits him often.
“We will always be a family, just in a different form,” Demi once said. No matter what, they have stayed close, choosing love and showing up for each other. And through it all, Rumer continues to stand by her dad, by carrying forward the strength and love their family shares.
