Cary Grant’s Ex-Wife, Dyan Cannon, Reveals She Has Multiple ‘Friends With Benefits’

The Hollywood actress may be close to 90, but she’s nowhere near slowing down, especially when it comes to her dating life. In a world that often sidelines older women, Dyan Cannon is making her own rules.

Despite having a turbulent marriage, the Heaven Can Wait star is thriving now. In a recent interview at the Hollywood Beauty Awards, Dyan Cannon confirmed that she’s still dating, and in fact, she’s doing so on her own terms. “I have friends with benefits, yes,” she told People, unapologetically. Her candid revelation has turned heads and shocked people.

Cannon didn’t name her current partners, but she took a moment to talk about Johnny Carson, a well-known figure from her past. The late Tonight Show host, who died in 2005, shared a secret relationship with Cannon that she says rattled him in the best way. “We love it when we rattle men who aren’t usually rattled, don’t we?” she said with a playful smile.

She also remembered how restaurants would shut down just for Carson. “He was a special man. I’ve known a lot of special men,” she added. “And there’s more to come.” The actress has never been ashamed of how active her dating life is. In her 2011 memoir, Dear Cary: My Life with Cary Grant, she opened up about her rocky marriage to Grant, which lasted from 1965 to 1968. “I never knew what was going to set him off next,” she wrote.

Despite the challenges, Cannon has remained strong and elegant. After her marriage to Cary Grant, she later married Stanley Fimberg from 1985 to 1991. She and Grant share a daughter, Jennifer Grant, now 59.
