The internet wasted no time reacting to the clip, with many fans expressing how fun it was seeing the two stars side by side. Some even played along with the joke, acting like they were the same person. “How did Will change so fast for that other camera angle?” one fan teased, with another replying, “Movie magic, baby!”

As he is not a professional drummer, Ferrell added comedic flair, however Smith’s undeniable talent showed out in the end. The moment ended with an unexpected twist as Red Hot Chili Peppers bandmates joined in and turned the drum battle into a full-on rock performance.
