During a recent interview, Diaz candidly shared her thoughts on being back on-screen, but she is still contemplating whether to return to acting fully. The actress added that she is trying to position herself in such a way that she can accept or decline any gigs she feels don’t align with her core values.
The 52-year-old also hinted that her life decisions now are influenced by her family as she is trying to balance her home and career, and she would not hesitate to pull out from any acting projects that distort that balance.

Diaz also opened up about her decision to return to acting in a behind-the-scenes clip with Netflix. She explained that she did not intend to make another movie and was content with her life outside of the film industry but had been pursuing other interests and activities that brought her joy, and was happy to be focusing on herself.
However, everything changed when Jamie Foxx, her co-star in the 1999 sports drama Any Given Sunday, reached out to her with a proposal. The actor invited her to join him in a big action comedy. Diaz couldn’t decline the offer as she enjoyed working with Foxx in the past and was eager to rekindle their on-screen chemistry.
