The Princess of Wales took to social media recently, announcing that she has now gone into remission after a year-long battle with cancer. She also gave her heartfelt appreciation to those who supported her during this challenging period, including her husband, Prince William. Kate Middleton’s lengthy post on Instagram brought a glimmer of hope about the state of her health, and admirers of the royal responded with relief. “I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year,” she began.
The 43-year-old noted that she is currently focused on recovery and will require more time to adjust to her new normal. “I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support,” she added. Royal family admirers react as Kate Middleton shares new health update
Kate Middleton was absent from the public eye for the early parts of last year, missing events like the annual Easter Mattins Service at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor and the 80th-anniversary celebration of D-Day with World War II veterans in Portsmouth, England. She made an appearance in June 2024 at the military parade for King Charles’ birthday, followed by Wimbledon’s men’s final, as she is a tennis fan and royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. She finished chemo in September and stepped out for her first royal engagement since her diagnosis, joining William to visit those affected by knife crime in Southport, England.
Fans admired Kate’s efforts to juggle her royal responsibilities and motherhood despite being ill in the past year. They did not hesitate to commend her in response to her latest update, expressing their excitement at her recovery. “Princess Catherine, enjoy every day now that you have remission,” someone advised her, adding that they have been through the same process while another prayed for her total healing. “Now this is a Happy New Year indeed! God bless, & keep HRH Princess of Wales in continued health, along with all those who continue healing to fulfill their dreams! You’ve got this!” a third person wrote.
