The Palisades Fire is one of the most destructive wildfires that has rocked Los Angeles in recent times. The fire started on January 7, 2025, at around 10:30 am, and it has razed over 15,000 acres as of Wednesday afternoon and destroyed more than 1,000 structures, including homes, churches, and businesses.

It is sad to see the disastrous impact of this fire on families and communities. Families have lost their properties to the fire and have also been forced to evacuate their homes. As the fire continues to rage, many residents and public figures, including Candace Cameron Bure, have taken to social media to express their shock, sadness, and disappointment.

The Full House alum expressed her heartbreak on Instagram, sharing photos and videos of the flames and smoke-filled skies. On the day the fire broke out, the actress shared an image of flames engulfing the Pacific Palisades area. She captioned the post, “Pacific Palisades, CA is on fire. This is devastating to watch.” She also asked her followers to pray for the safety of firefighters, emergency crews, and residents affected by the fire.

The following day, she shared another post under a photo of the red skies, saying, “Our sweet Palisades is destroyed. So many memories. We are praying God pours rain down on Los Angeles.” She appreciated the firefighters and first responders for doing their best to keep people safe. Her posts received support from her followers who also expressed their sorrow and prayers in the comments. However, the danger in California is far from over.

There are two other wildfires affecting California apart from the Palisades fires

The Palisades Fire is just one of three wildfires in Los Angeles County, alongside the Eaton Fire in Altadena and the Hurst Fire in Sylmar. Together, these fires have caused a state of emergency, with over 30,000 people under evacuation orders and more than 220,000 homes and businesses without power. Just in case you were wondering why it has been difficult to contain this fire, strong winds, drought conditions, and low humidity have worsened the situation, making efforts to contain it challenging. At some point, the firefighters suffered from temporary power and water loss.

The City Fire Chief in Los Angeles, Kristin Crowley, has emphasized that the danger is far from over. She mentioned that despite the harsh and unfavorable conditions, first responders remain committed to protecting lives and property. Members of the Public and celebrities have also offered support to those displaced by these destructive fires.
