From child star to judge
Rimes joined the coach and judge panel of The Voice Australia and UK this year. It was another highlight of her music career, which began in her pre-teen years. She had her breakthrough at 13 with “Blue,” which put her on the map as one of the youngest country stars. The song earned Rimes her first Billboard charting and Grammy Award, opening her to more recognition across the country.
Rimes made her acting debut in the same year with Holiday In Your Heart and has starred in more productions throughout her career. Behind the stardom, Rimes also suffered financial fraud from her parents, Wilbur and Melinda, who managed her as a youngster.
