Jimmy Carter Fufills His Final Wish Shortly After Turning 100 Years Old

Jimmy Carter has a really tough spirit, and he is committed to things that matters to him. Despite being in hospice care and losing his beloved wife late year, the former President remains strong in his spirit as he continues to defy all odds and lives each day like it is a miracle. During summer this year, Carter’s grandson, Jason Carter revealed the Centenarian’s dying wish, which got people talking.

Jason affirmed that the ex-president told him his choice of presidential candidate ahead of the upcoming U.S. election and his last wish was to vote for the democrat candidate Kamala Harris as he himself governed the USA as a democrat. People doubted the news as they thought that Carter’s cognitive decline due to his frail health won’t have allowed him to think of such and weigh in on a sensitive issue like that.

Jimmy Carter lives up to his dreams

Surprisingly, the president has stayed true to his word and put naysayers to shame as he recently participated in the early voting exercise which took place in Georgia on the 15th of October. It is heartwarming to see Carter fulfill his wish even though so many people find his act jaws dropping as they never thought the ex-president will still be politically inclined at his age.

His recent achievement as the oldest USA president to cast a vote comes a few weeks after Carter celebrated his Centenary birthday, which made him the USA president with the longest post-presidency time span of 43 years and still counting.

What the future holds for Jimmy Carter

It is safe to say that Jimmy Carter is happy with himself and how far he has come in life. The former president boasts of a successful political career and beyond that, he was invested in philanthropic act and promoting equal right during his active day which he still gets recognition for until date.

Carter has lived an encompassing life, and it’s either the universe aligned with him or he has mastered the charm of maintaining a balance. The Centenarian had a good hold on his family despite the demands of his job as the U.S. president, and it is not surprising that he lived happily with his wife Rosalynn for 77 years until her death in November 2023.
