Drew Barrymore’s family is currently mourning the loss of her father-in-law and Chanel executive Arie L. Kopelman. The 86-year-old died after battling pancreatic cancer for a while, leaving behind his wife, Coco Kopelman, his kids, Jill Kargman, and Drew’s ex Will Kopelman.
The current wife of Drew’s ex-husband, Allie Michler, shared a family photo featuring Drew’s daughters, Olive and Frankie, to pay tribute to the late fashion brand mogul. Arrie’s son John, Arie, and extended family also featured in the group picture, which she posted on her Instagram.
Drew Barrymore’s relationship with her daughters’ dad
Drew was married to Will for four years, with disagreement over where to live as their reason for divorcing in 2016. Drew wanted to live in Los Angeles, while Will preferred New York City, and this caused tension between the couple.
Drew admitted their love was more about the kids than them, which healed her childhood wounds in some way. This made their co-parenting quite seamless, although Drew admitted to missing her girls whenever they were away with their dad. Will welcomed a baby boy with his current wife last year, and they announced it with an adorable post-birth photo.

Meet Drew’s Girls
Although Drew prefers to shield her children from the public eye, she gives them a healthy amount of exposure and shows them off via her Instagram. From Drew’s posts, one can tell that her oldest, Olive, is a creative ball of fun as she enjoys fashion and makeup and has a flair for the beauty industry.
Olive’s little sister Frankie had fans gushing on her 7th birthday when she wished to help the planet as it was also Earth Day. Drew’s daughters enjoy watching her movies and have shown interest in acting, but Drew restricts their exploration to just stage plays at school until they get older.
