As a new season of Wheel of Fortune inches closer, Ryan Seacrest is excited to make his debut as the new host and replacement for long-time anchor, Pat Sajak. With Sajak out, this means letter-turner Vanna White has to deal with a new partner, which she has never had to do in decades.
Vanna admitted during a recent interview that she was clueless about what expectations to set and was really scared at first. It appears that Vanna has seen more of Ryan, who she now claims is doing a good job. There is tension in the air as fans get ready to see how well both show hosts get along on set.
Vanna was scared of the drastic change, which made her initially hesistant about working with Ryan. She was concerned about their age difference, which she feared may play a role in how they communicate with one another and the audience. The 67-year-old has also considered terminating her contract prematurely if she is unable to work with Ryan.
A source revealed that Vanna was not a good fan of Ryan, and needed time to think about their collaboration. She also felt like the Wheel Of Fortune fans could easily pick up on any awkwardness should their chemistry look unnatural.
Despite criticism from fans, social media, and even his own co-host, Ryan is determined to prove himself and bring his unique spin to the longtime game show. With his experience on TV, the 49-year-old believes he will deliver nothing less than the best on Wheel of Fortune.
The new program host has been dropping teasers on his Instagram ahead of season 42. His recent post is a countdown to September 9’s premiere, and fans are nothing short of excited as proven by the comments section. “I can’t wait. He’s gonna be great,” one of Ryan’s fans gushed, while another sent good luck his way. “You are perfect for the job,” they added.
