Gen X

As the years go by, new generations spring up, and the elder ones recline into the background. For those in their forties and fifties, a.k.a. Gen X, are officially joining the leagues of older people, and they can hardly believe it.

Penn and Kim Holderness from The Holderness Family shared a video depicting the spiral Gen Xers are likely going through deep down. Although created to make people laugh, the four-minute thirty-second clip was relatable to most viewers.

The video has amassed over 6 million views so far, and the comments are filled with musings from the target audience, Gen X, and others like Gen Z, millennials, and maybe baby boomers. “Shout out to my GenX peeps! The glue holding these silly, last few generations together. The key is we were the bridge between the old world and the new. We are pioneers in that sense,” someone wrote.

Someone noted that they love being Gen X as they are the last independent generation. “We figured stuff out for ourselves.  I grew up with every race and I didn’t care. If you were a good person then I liked you. It was just a better time to grow up!”? They explained.
