Carmen Electra turned heads on Monday as she strutted the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of the After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun docuseries. She wore an all-white blazer fit with a matching cropped top underneath and let down her highlighted hair in a center part.
Carmen, who played Lani McKenzie in the ‘80s drama series, admitted to being weight-shamed on set and put under pressure to meet up with unrealistic beauty standards. Despite being one of the admired TV beach girls, Lani was constantly being told to shed some pounds throughout filming.
Carmen Electra looks back lovingly at her younger self
In retrospect, the 52-year-old would not have had her body any other way, as she considers it perfect even now. Her background as a classical ballet dancer already familiarized her with the demand to be thin, but she now looks back at her curvy self with admiration.

At first, Carmen took the producers’ words seriously and would do away with snacks based on their orders. Other female actors on the show may have undergone the same scrutiny, and followed suit by starving themselves.
Then and now
Carmen is grateful for the positive changes that have occurred in the entertainment industry, especially the fact that no producer can tell a cast member to lose weight without getting backlash for it. She also commended the recent celebration of diversity and inclusion, which has helped many women in Hollywood become comfortable in their skin.
After Baywatch, Carmen appeared in more shows and movies, including the Scary Movie parody series of Scream. More recently, Carmen has been focused on her OnlyFans modeling career, which she claims gives her autonomy and creative control over her own body. She added that taking pictures and carrying fans along with her via content has been her natural aspiration.
