Fans of Wheel of Fortune have been curious as to why the recently retired longtime show host, Pat Sajak, was not replaced by his daughter, Maggie Sajak. Maggie has been working as a social media correspondent on the show since 2021, and even filled in for Pat on a few occasions.
To many’s surprise, TV personality Ryan Seacrest was revealed as the new co-host of the popular game show. The 49-year-old is set to be judged by millions of viewers on the premiere of the 42nd season this September.
Although some fans have accepted Ryan as their fate in the approaching season, some remain adamant and continue to express their curiosity as to why Maggie was snubbed. The truth is that Maggie has a career outside of managing Wheel Of Fortune’s socials as an aspiring lawyer.
The 29-year-old finished her postgraduate degree at Columbia University last year and is now attending law school. Neither Maggie nor her father have stated reasons for the snub; however, it is likely that Maggie is more keen on her legal career. Amid her busy schedule, Maggie still does her job as a social media correspondent.
Ryan has been actively posting BTS looks during the weeks leading up to Wheel of Fortune’s return on September 9. Despite the pushback against his appointment as Pat’s replacement, he has managed to win the hearts of many who believe he would do a great job.
His recent Instagram post featured moments from a photo shoot session with his co-host Vanna White, who looked gorgeous in a sparkly champagne dress and drop earrings. Ryan had on an all black suit and stood by the beautiful Vanna as they discussed. “We will be watching for sure! Ryan always delivers,” a follower gushed in the comments. “You both bring class to ‘Wheel Of Fortune,” another quipped.
