George Lazenby was spotted out and about in Santa Monica, California; however, the ex-actor’s appearance was something of concern. George looked frail and weak as he strolled the street in a pair of gray trousers, a baseball hat, and a polo shirt.
The former James Bond (007) of Her Majesty’s Secret Service of 1969 also confirmed his retirement, which is due to increased weakness due to old age. George seemed to mind the attention, as he warned the public earlier this year to respect his preferences for a private life.

The 84-year-old announced his retirement from the acting industry earlier this year after sustaining injuries from a domestic fall last November. George expressed that leaving Hollywood was a tough but unavoidable decision due to his health and thanked his manager of 10 years, Anders Frejdh, for being the best representative ever.

On the bright side, George can now enjoy quality time with his family, which consists of his five children. He stated his withdrawal from interviews, public appearances, and even signing autographs going forward. This marked the end of George’s six-decade career, which peaked during his time as 007.
The end of an era
George was the second James Bond actor after the legendary Sean Connery and five installments later, working alongside Telly Savalas, Bernard Lee, and Diana Rigg. He starred in subsequent productions like Universal Soldier, Hawaii Five-O, and General Hospital.
Fans of the iconic actor thanked him for sharing his craft with the world and wished him a much-deserved rest in retirement. “Thank you for all your work, I really love your portrayal of Bond in Majesty. Enjoy your retirement,” a follower penned.
