Madonna jetted off to Italy with loved ones for her 66th birthday, and they stayed at the Villa TreVille resort in Positano, which Jennifer Lopez reportedly occupied during her summer getaway. Accompanying the queen of pop were her twin daughters Estere and Stella, soccer star Akeem Morris, and her older children.

The birthday girl took to Instagram to share the fun holiday with her followers and fans, showing off her birthday cake and some champagne. “La Dolce Vita,” her caption read, which means “the good life.”

The five-star hotel with rooms starting $2,000 a night gives an exquisite view of the Tyrrhenian Sea, and offers luxury with a blend of peace and quiet. The facility has accommodated the likes of director Franco Zeffirelli, who used to have his summer retreats on the site.

A birthday to remember

Along with the classy meal was a performance from one of Madonna’s fund beneficiaries, Sogno Di Volare. Madonna took a series of personal shots in Dolce and Gabbana to mark her birthday on social media, and fans did not hesitate to gush about her beauty and glamorous style.

She also showed off her rumored lover Akeem, further confirming the speculations about her controversial relationship with the much younger man. “Imagine being iconic for like centuries,” a fan gushed, acknowledging Madonna’s lasting relevance and looks over the years. Aside from all the luxurious and glamorous celebratory moves from Madonna, she’s also going to be making moves to give back to the community by funding a youth art project. Now in its fourth year, the project features hundreds of young artists performing adapted Aristophanes comedies, beginning at Pompeii’s Teatro Grande and touring other Italian theaters. Madonna has pledged to fund the project’s “Dream of Flying” initiative for a year, contributing approximately $275,000.
