Kelly Ripa shared a lipstick trick with her Instagram followers weeks ago, showing them how she achieves a full lip look via a mini tutorial video. “No, I didn’t get lip fillers. This is the lip trick, you monsters,” her caption read.

Actress Bernadette Peters attempted to recreate the makeup look using Ripa’s tips but ended up with a comical result. She made sure to narrate her experience on a recent episode of Live With Kelly And Mark, noting that she looked like a clown after her first attempt.

Peters admitted that the hack looked great on Ripa and even tried to double-check the process with Ripa. The 76-year-old said she felt like Marilyn Monroe during the application until she looked in the mirror and felt like a joker.

Ripa then admitted to getting it wrong on some days as she is not perfect at it either. She also credited youngsters on social media for inspiring the idea even though their liner application is too extreme for her.
