Pat Sajak and Vanna White have been iconic figures on Wheel of Fortune for decades. However, Sajak announced his planned retirement early last year, marking the end of an era. Despite Vanna’s significant contributions to the show’s success, such as filming episodes, promoting the game show, and making public appearances, she has earned about $3 million a year since 2005 for her duties, while her co-host, Sajak, has made nearly five times that amount.
This disparity led Vanna to advocate for a pay raise last year, however, despite her efforts, it appears the pay gap will persist. It is rumored that Ryan Seacrest, who is set to replace Sajak, will also earn five times more than White even though she got a raise. This ongoing issue has caused some tension as the new season approaches.
Insiders say Vanna White is not pleased as ‘Wheel of Fortune’ co-host Ryan Seacrest earns $28 million per year
According to recent reports, Seacrest is set to earn an impressive $28 million annually as the new host of Wheel of Fortune. This substantial salary is nearly double what the previous host, Sajak, earned, which was $15 million per season, and will also significantly surpass his earnings from American Idol, where he reportedly made $12 million per season.

In contrast, Vanna will receive a comparatively modest $6 million per season. Sources have indicated that she is quite unhappy with this arrangement and may be considering leaving the show soon.
With the new season of Wheel of Fortune set to broadcast in September, Insiders revealed that tension has been building between the co-hosts as filming is underway. A source, speaking with RadarOnline, explained that the dispute began when the recording started in May, and White, a longtimer on the show, attempted to offer Seacrest advice and guide him. However, Seacrest, known for being a control freak, asserted that he would handle things his way and wasn’t trying to emulate Pat Sajak.

It doesn’t seem like the tension between Vanna and Seacrest will ease off soon with the recent revelation about the wide pay gap between them despite Vanna having spent more than two decades on the show. She might finally live up to the rumour making rounds and exit the show to save herself from more embarrassment as fans are eager to know what the future holds for her in her current role.
