Christie Brinkley and her daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, hit the road over the weekend, and Christie took to social media to share the wholesome moment with her fans. Her caption was a quote by Dolly Parton which read, “Don’t be a lady, be a legend.”
Christie and Sailor appeared to be wearing matching outfits, with Christie throwing in a white cowboy hat to complement what she had on. Mother and daughter looked a lot like each other, both wearing cream-colored tops and leaving their lush blonde hair to fall below their shoulders.
Christie’s fans were delighted to see her and her model daughter bonding and looking chic while at it, and they did not hesitate to express their thoughts in the comments. “Two very blessed ladies. Blessed in what they have accomplished,” someone gushed. “Sailor is looking more and more like her mother. Beauties,” another added with a heart emoji.
Many also praised Christie for being a good mentor to sailors, who chose a modeling career path just like her mother did. “You literally ARE a legend, a supermodel legend & a most beautiful one at that. And Sailor is following in Your gorgeous footsteps too,” a comment read.
Sailor has been thriving in the modeling industry for years, having worked with publications like Sports Illustrated and Vogue. She has also collaborated with her mom several times, including Elie Tahari’s runway show during New York Fashion Week 2019. Christie has made her path easier by giving her loads of advice and support to thrive as a model.
Despite being a model, Sailor has had her struggles with body dysmorphia, insecurities, and eating disorders. She opened up about her struggles in 2020 while confessing to comparing herself with other women on Instagram. Unfortunately, her condition worsened due to comparison from critics who expect her to be just like her celebrity mother or better.
