Pat Sajak finally handed the baton to Ryan Seacrest as the host of Wheel of Fortune, with new episodes being filmed ahead of release in September. With the spotlight now on Ryan, he was spotted with a mystery woman in Los Angeles the same night of Pat’s final episode, and fans are wondering who the lady might be.
The unknown lady covered her face as she was leaving the Chateau Marmont hotel with Ryan, who recently split from his longtime partner Aubrey Paige due to undisclosed reasons. It appears the new show anchor is back on the dating scene with more good news than just his recent gig.
With fans having to get accustomed to a new face and personality after decades of Pat, there have been mixed reactions about Ryan being the new Wheel Of Fortune host. The 49-year-old has previously acknowledged he has big shoes to fill, and promised to deliver to the best of his ability.
Some have trolled him and outrightly termed him a misfit replacement, while others think he is just perfect, given his years of experience in showbiz and charming personality. A handful of viewers have expressed their neutral stance while admitting to missing Sajak but remaining open-minded. Ryan’s first photo with his co-host Vanna White was also released, marking a new era for the long-running game show.
Fans have not only taken a liking to Pat over the years but also to his daughter, Maggie Sajak, who has been the show’s social media correspondent since late 2021. She has grown on the audience over time and filled in as host on a few occasions, which led viewers to assume the show organizers would look no further when selecting Pat’s replacement.
Many expressed their disappointment at the news of Ryan’s reveal, noting that Vanna and Maggie would have been “awesome” together. Vanna also acknowledged Maggie’s potential for anchoring the show, with hopes that she will take over from her in the future. Hopefully, Ryan will clear all doubts and blow viewers away with his first few episodes in September.
