A fan on Reddit is calling for the removal of Pat Sajak’s daughter, Maggie Sajak from Wheel of Fortune due to her “cringe” behavior. While Pat’s final pre-retirement episode aired on Friday, the Reddit user created a board with the headline, “Maggie is cringe and I hope they get rid of her.”
Maggie has been working on the game show as a social media correspondent and has won viewers’ hearts so far that they hoped she was her father’s replacement. Pat gave a heartfelt farewell speech as he stepped down from his show host duties to usher in Ryan Seacrest as the new anchor.
Fans call out Maggie Sajak over nepotism and want her out
Being Maggie’s father, it was only right that Pat let her in on the details about the game show, however, fans were not having it and considered her privileged to have landed her job in the first place. Someone called her one of the “entitled celebrity children getting preferential treatment,” due to her famous last name.

More critics underrated her value to the show, saying she is simply being groomed to step in after Pat’s co-host, Vanna White. A few came to Maggie’s defense saying she has done a good job so far and probably deserves her privilege. They added that she does put in the effort and has been professional so far.
Pat says his final goodbye
It has been an emotional past few weeks as Pat’s time on Wheel of Fortune finally comes to a close. The TV personality practically spent most of his prime years on the long-running game show, so it is hard to imagine anyone else doing it better. Seacrest acknowledged that he has big shoes to fill, but looks forward to giving his best in the upcoming seasons.
Pat’s final speech had viewers tearing up, as he went down memory lane, reminiscing how Wheel of Fortune started as a “daily half-hour safe space for family fun,” before gradually becoming a household favorite where children continued learning outside of school, foreigners refined their English, and families bonded over knowledge. He thanked fans yet again for the honor of letting him into their lives through their television screens.
