Ahead of her 91st birthday, Carol Burnett appeared on Live with Kelly and Mark to promote her new TV series, Palm Royale. During the discussion, the legend shared details about her birthday wishlist with the hosts, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.
Kelly took a walk down memory lane as she reminded Carol Burnett that she gave a humorous answer last year prior to her 90th birthday when she questioned her about her celebration plans for the new milestone during a discussion on her podcast, Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa.
After Kelly mentioned her conversation with the Burnett last year, Mark interjected as he recalled the humorous answer the nonagenarian replied to Kelly with. “You know, I listened to the podcast. I loved hearing your stories,” Mark noted. “And you said something very funny: ‘Is there’s something you wanted to do that you haven’t done yet before you turn 90?’ And you said, ‘George Clooney.'”
Kelly further quizzed Burnett to know if she had achieved her dream with George Clooney. The 90-year-old responded in the negative while jokingly revealing another plan. “No, but now I’m thinking about Bradley Cooper.”
Kelly played along and offered to make Burnett’s 91st birthday wish a reality. “Everyone knows that this is the official morning show of Bradley Cooper,” Kelly said. “He loves this show. Brad? Give Carol a call. And you know which phone to use.”
However, the mother of three dismissed Kelly’s plans by reminding her that she has been married for more than two decades and that her wish will remain unfulfilled due to her current relationship status. “I don’t think it’ll work with my husband,” Burnett hilariously shared.
