Bruce Willis Sings And Talks In A Recent Heartwarming Video Amid Dementia Battle

Bruce Willis’ eldest daughter, Rumer Willis, took to Instagram with uplifting clips of her father talking, singing, and dancing as he turned 69. The Die Hard actor celebrated his birthday while battling Frontotemporal Dementia, so the video of him displaying his fun side could not be more touching.

Also present in the snaps were Bruce’s ex-wife, Demi Moore, and Rumer’s younger sister, Tallulah, who sported a shaved head. Bruce led a countdown and began showing off his moves while the rest of the family joined in with hearty laughter.

Bruce made a goofy snap on Rumer’s story with a filter that exaggerated his lips and heightened the pitch of his voice. “I’d like to have the sugar waffles and raisins. I have 700 teeth in my mouth,” he joked, and one could hear his family laughing hard in the background. Although there is no certainty about when these moments happened, it was an absolute delight to see Bruce in his element.

Tallulah’s story also featured Bruce, who helped her shave her head to match his, as she called him her “twin.” Rumer and her sister, Scout LaRue, had written lengthy notes on their profiles to wish their doting father a happy birthday, and fans joined them to honor him as well. “Oh, Daddio, to be loved by you is such a gift. You are the funniest, most tender, charming, out-of-this-world silly, talented, and magical papa,” Rumer wrote.

Thankfully, Bruce has lots of support from fans and, more importantly, his family, who are doing all they can to make the most of their moments together. His wife, Emma Hemming Willis, has also taken it upon herself to spread awareness about his condition despite the criticism she gets for it. “I’m always going to advocate for my husband. I’m going to turn my grief and my anger and my sadness, and do something good around something that feels less than,” she warned trolls last year, asking them to “watch this space because I didn’t come to play.”

Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout’s mother has also been supportive, even after their divorce in 2000. Demi has learned to “stay in the present and take in the joy and the love that is present” and be “there for all that they are, not all that they’re not.” Emma also credits him for his “love, patience…resilience” that has helped her get out of her comfort zone. “So much, and he’s teaching me and our whole family. For me to be out here doing this, this is the power of Bruce,” she admitted.
