Since rocking out onto the music scene in 1983, Bon Jovi has provided fans with a steady stream of fresh new beats. On Thursday, Bon Jovi announced yet another new band, Forever, which is due out just in time for summer. While fans wait, they can enjoy the album’s lead single, “Legendary.”
Bon Jovi just celebrated its 40th anniversary as a band, currently comprised of Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Phil X, bassist Hugh McDonald, drummer Tico Torres, and keyboardist David Bryan. Forever will be the band’s 16th studio album and the last batch of new content since the album 2020.

“This record is a return to joy,” said Jon in a statement announcing Forever. “From the writing, through the recording process, this is turn up the volume, feel good Bon Jovi. The album will be released through Island Records.

A return to joy is welcome for fans and the band alike. In the past, Jon has had to have surgery on his vocal cords to address problems that actually stretch back a decade. It reached a newfound low in 2022 during the South and Midwest branch of the 2020 album tour, which had been delayed two years due to the pandemic.
Forever is set to release on June 7.
The band is also introducing the album’s lead single, “Legendary”
Already, Bon Jovi is expressing that message of hope and positivity through “Legendary,” which is characterized as an uplifting anthem that has Jon’s vocal talents seemingly back at full strength. The song is a seamless, upbeat blend of pop and country that boasts Jon’s signature “whoa-oh” choruses and drips with charisma.
But that’s still not all for this year’s excitement. In celebration of their 40th anniversary, Bon Jovi also has Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, a docuseries premiering on Hulu on April 26th. Thank You, Goodnight is the first comprehensive docuseries that explores the entire band’s history, factoring in all its members. It is a four-part series that offers fans an unprecedented look at the full picture of Bon Jovi.
