77-Year-Old Bodybuilder Leaves Fitness Experts In Awe

Inspired by the physiques of comic book heroes and bodybuilders, Robbie Robinson started training in his late teens and quickly made remarkable progress due to his genetic predisposition for muscle growth and his relentless work ethic.

By the late ’60s and early ’70s, he emerged as a dominant force in the bodybuilding scene, winning numerous titles and competitions, including the Mr. America title in 1975. Now 77 years old, Robinson remains iconic for his ability to maintain his majestic physique, a feat that has caught the attention of many people, including the three-time Mr. Olympia runner-up, Victor Martinez.

77-year-old bodybuilder is in better shape than people half his age

During an interview with Generation Iron Fitness and Bodybuilding Network, Martinez openly admitted that he believes Robinson stands out as the most accomplished bodybuilder in history. “I mean when I’ve seen Robbie Robinson at his age right now,” he stated. “There’s nobody that comes close to him no nobody. And again, I can say that wholeheartedly nobody in bodybuilding at his age.”

He also explained that the septuagenarian maintained his shape because of his good genetic makeup. “I agree with you I know guys half his age that bodybuild for 10 years and stopped,” Martinez admitted. “They’re half his age right now, and they’re falling apart.”

Throughout his career, Robinson exemplified unwavering dedication to the art of bodybuilding. This commitment was evident in his rigorous training regimen and fierce rivalry with other renowned athletes in the field.

One such competitor was Frank Zane, a three-time Mr. Olympia winner known as the “God of Aesthetics,” who attested to Robinson’s competitiveness during his prime. “The guy I thought was really good was Robbie Robinson, who had a great physique. So I had some competition with Robbie,” he admitted. “I managed to pull through those three years.”
