Terri Irwin, Widow Of Steve Irwin, Addresses Rumors About ‘Steamy’ Relationship With Russell Crowe

Terri Irwin clarified her alleged relationship with Russell Crowe during her surprise appearance on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show on Tuesday morning. She showed up to the program for her son’s I’m A Celebrity press tour and was gladly received by the curious radio host Kyle Sandilands.

During the discussion, Kyle inquired about Terri’s love life, as well as rumors that she was involved with Russell. “Have we been linked? I can’t remember,” Terri joked, to which Kyle responded, “Who are you having sex with?” Terri tackled the question by saying she has “a lot of quiet evenings with a nice, big, juicy pizza.”

Terri’s son, Robert Irwin, admitted that his mom’s romantic life had been a topic among fans and critics for the longest time. “Mum has been linked to something like 30 people. I mean, it was King Charles, it was Russell, it was everyone,” the 20-year-old told co-host Jackie O’Henderson. Terri has denied these rumors in the past, but they seem to stick regardless.

In 2021, she claimed to be “very single” and told Access Hollywood in 2017 that Russell has been very loyal as a great friend. “In all honesty, Russell and Steve became friends many years ago, and after Steve passed, you find out who your true friends are,” she told the outlet, referring to her husband’s tragic death by a stingray attack in Batt Reef, Australia.

Since her husband’s death in 2006, Terri has remained single and focused on their kids and carrying on Steve’s legacy. Russell sang her praise in past interviews, admiring her work ethic and love for family. “You know I do love Terri Irwin, I love her kids, and I love how she’s kept the memory of Steve alive and respected the work that the two of them had begun, and she’s an absolute champion,” he once said.

Russell has also been careful to debunk the speculations of a steamy bond between them while maintaining that she was important to him. “Terri is one of the greatest women I’ve ever met in my life, without there being implication of intimacy or whatever,” he noted. The mother of two has claimed to have “had a big, big love,” and “it was enough to last a lifetime,” which is likely why she is yet to date again.
