Andie MacDowell‘s daughter, Margaret Qualley, attended the premiere of her latest movie, Drive-Away Dolls, in New York City, and her mother, Andie MacDowell, was there to support her. Margaret’s husband, Jack Antonoff, was also present as they celebrated the film’s release.
The party was a sweet mother-daughter bonding for Andie and Margaret. They wore coordinated outfits and shared affectionate moments, including when Andie kissed the twenty-nine-year-old on the cheek. Andie kept it classy in a black turtleneck outfit, while Margaret, one of the brand’s ambassadors, sported a Chanel dress.

Margaret stars alongside Geraldine Viswanathan, Beanie Feldstein, Colman Domingo, Pedro Pascal, and Matt Damon in the movie about a woman named Jamie — whom Margaret plays — and a group of criminals. Jamie and her friend, Marian, rent a car to Tallahassee, Florida, and unknown to them, bad guys leave an unidentified item in the trunk.

Both ladies discover the mysterious package, and soon, the band is on their tail. Colman’s character leads the chase, with Jamie and Marian meeting a cop who joins them in the chaos. The synopsis of the Ethan Coen-directed movie reads, “In search of a fresh start, two women embark on an impromptu road trip to Tallahassee, Fla. However, things quickly go awry when they cross paths with a group of inept criminals along the way.”
Andie MacDowell is incredibly supportive of her daughter
Margaret and Jack married last August, and Andie gushed about it on The Drew Barrymore Show weeks ago, saying, “He’s so nice. They’re really good together, they’re fun and very well matched.” The Groundhog Day star said she felt lucky that Margaret ended up with someone who suited her. “She’s an interesting character; she needed someone who could match her,” the proud mom gushed. “She’s brilliant too, she’s very artistic.”
Andie is also very particular about raising her girls — including Margaret’s older sister Rainey — to “have a sense of space and their expectations.” “I wonder about making little girls too nice, you know? I think it’s much more important to teach them boundaries within that politeness,” she told Sunday Time Style in 2022, adding that she treats them no differently from their brother, Justin.
