Travolta’s friend and Perfect co-star, Jamie Lee Curtis, also shared her wishes to him via Instagram with several photos of them, including one where they posed for the July 1985 cover of Rolling Stone magazine. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY @johntravolta. We have been friends and colleagues for a long time and we share a passion for our art and children and rescue pups!” she wrote.

Both actors reunited for Perfect at the 2022 Oscar awards ceremony at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Jamie brought a rescue puppy to the stage for Betty White’s In Memoriam, and Travolta’s son, Ben, ended up adopting it. “I thought it was so beautiful to see him with her, and then today I found out that he and his son, Ben, have adopted beautiful little mac & cheese and are taking her home today,” Jamie wrote on her social media.

Travolta’s thoughts on aging
On a 2021 episode of Kevin Hart’s talk show, Hart To Heart, Travolta revealed his thoughts on aging after Ben asked what it felt like to be his age. “I said, ‘You know what, Ben? I can’t believe it. I can’t believe I’m in the last chapter of my life. I can’t believe it.’ I’m like, eternally 21,” he recalled.
Amid the fame, Travolta suffered the loss of his son, Jett, and his wife, Kelly, whom he married in 1991. Kelly died of breast cancer in 2020, while Jett died of a seizure a decade earlier. Travolta considered retiring after his son died. However, he received support from “the church and a lot of support from people— fans and family,” which helped him get back to work after three years.
