Despite his celebrity status, Simmons consistently faced criticism from various sources and urged his followers to remain unaffected by people’s opinions. “For as long as I can remember, people have made fun of me,” he wrote. “And people still make fun of me. But you know what? I am glad to be me! You should be glad that you are you.”

Additionally, he offered musical recommendations, including Gloria Gaynor’s iconic disco track “I Will Survive,” the Broadway standard “I Am What I Am” from Jerry Herman’s 1983 hit La Cage aux Folles, and “This Is Me,” the Oscar-nominated ballad from 2017’s The Greatest Showman. He explained that these songs have played a significant role in helping him during challenging moments. “These songs will uplift you,” he added, “Love, Richard.”
