Having tried Botox twice, Christie Brinkley had decided she is happier “just letting it be” when it comes to aging and the changes that come with it. “I want to accept certain wrinkles. That’s the way I’m approaching aging,” the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model told People on Wednesday.
While putting off cosmetic procedures, Brinkley still prioritizes her bi-annual resurfacing Fraxel treatments to correct damage from the sun over the years. “I want a little life to show on my face, you know?” she added.

Brinkley is proud of herself and is getting ready to launch a new lifestyle and apparel brand called TWRHLL. She recently posted a photo showing off her long legs while on the water in Turks and Caicos, and fans could not get enough. “Water, Sky, Seashells, and Driftwood ..a few of my favorite things,” she wrote.

Now, she is doing even more to embrace change as she grows older, regardless of societal expectations of her. “Sometimes when people get older, and they overdo it, they can look waxy and — I don’t know what the word is— preserved or something,” she noted.
She claps back at critics
Last year, Brinkley shared a selfie and snaps of One World Trade Center in New York City with the words “Downtown Girl.” However, she changed her text after getting met with criticism from haters. The new caption read, “Whoa Nelly! The Wrinkle Brigade is out in full force in the comment thread!”
She explained that the “wrinkle brigade” was “the people that scan celebrities’ pages, hoping to find some cellulite, wrinkles, or anything they can point to critique.” “It must be some form of compensation for something they lack,” she added.
The mother of three acknowledged the kind comments, which she claims “restore my faith and make my heart sing!”
“Thank you, sweet souls!” she quipped.
