Father-daughter duo Larry Birkhead and Dannielynn Smith won the hearts of social media users and fans of the late Anna Nicole Smith with a recent photo. They posed for the camera while having a fun time in a restaurant for Larry’s birthday.
Larry, who had a longtime relationship with Dannielynn’s mom before her death, turned 51 a few days ago. “I got trolled on my birthday by my daughter!!” he captioned the post on Instagram before explaining each slide. “Trolls, Bowls (haircuts), and Angels, what a day!”

On seeing fresh-faced Dannielynn, fans were quickly reminded of Anna Nicole, who died from a drug overdose in February 2007. “Love seeing you and your beautiful daughter smile. She looks more and more like her beautiful mom,” a fan wrote. “She sure has her momma’s big beautiful smile,” another added.

Most people agreed Dannielynn was Anna Nicole’s lookalike except for someone who thought she “looks nothing like Anna Nicole.” “Dannielynn looks so much like you; she could be your twin,” someone quipped, expressing their differing opinion. “She’s the perfect blend of you and Anna Nicole…..simply stunning!!!” another user quipped.
Remembering Dannielynn’s brother
Larry took the chance to remember Anna Nicole as well as Dannielynn’s late brother, Daniel Wayne. “Also, today would have been Anna Nicole’s son Daniel’s birthday as well. I miss celebrating the day with him as well,” he wrote. “I’m always thinking about him (especially on this day) and the great person he could and would have been.”
Despite the losses, Larry prioritizes a normal life for Dannielynn as well as preserving her mother’s memory. They attend the Kentucky Derby every year in tribute to Anna Nicole. “That’s where I met Anna Nicole Smith. And it’s something that I’ve taken my daughter back every year since. She’s old enough to kind of understand what it is,” Larry once said.
