Jim Carrey Celebrates 62nd Birthday With Comedy Legends For “The Laugh Supper” Photo

Jim Carrey celebrated his 62nd birthday with an elite party crowd full of comedy legends, all of whom posed for a positively divine group photo. On Wednesday, actor and comedian Jeff Ross, nicknamed the Roastmaster General, shared a photo of Carrey among other comedy icons recreating the famous Leonardo da Vinci painting, The Last Supper, with a twist!

Carrey has been a mainstay in the comedy scene – on stage and on the big screen – since ’77, when a 15-year-old Carrey was getting help from his father to put together a stage act. Now, Carrey has got multiple Golden Globe wins and multiple nominations to his name and one of the most legendary birthday parties out there.

In Ross’s photo, Carrey can be seen amidst Adam Sandler, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Green, Howie Mandel, David Spade, Craig Robinson, Adam Sandler, Paul Vincent, Ben Schwartz, Cary Elwes, and Ross himself. They are all congregated for Carre’s 62nd birthday party.

The Laugh Supper,” Ross captioned the post. Sure enough, everyone is assembled on one side of a table-laden party food. Actor Rob Lowe praised the assembly as “Too much talent for one room!” while DJ Diplo called the gathering an “Insane group.”

Not just a comedian

Comedy legends have found ways of celebrating Carrey on his 62nd birthday even beyond this heavenly party. “Happy birthday to Jim Carrey who has made me laugh on and off the field so many times,” gushed David Spade in his own tribute post with more images from the festivities. “Such a cool dude. I rarely bust out the cake emoji but I will today.”

Celebrated comedian, treasured friend – and also effective drama actor – Jim Carrey wears many hats. Remarkably, he has been lauded by several film critics and media outlets as one of the best actors who has never received an Academy Award nomination. Yet, when he has been recognized for his performance, it’s whenever he switches gears into drama. His performance in the made-for-television film Doing Time on Maple Drive saw him in an Emmy-nominated program. He also earned Golden Globe Awards for The Truman Show (1998) and Man on the Moon (1999), both dramas.

Here’s to many more star-studded, award-worthy birthday parties!
