Social media users have been bothering a Jim Carrey lookalike on TikTok with conspiracy theories ahead of the actor’s birthday. Many implied that she was Jim and flooded her DMs with his pictures a few days before he turned 62.

Jim Carrey’s lookalike Heather Shaw responded with a video to express her annoyance over the issue and warn those behind it. “Well, this past week, I have gotten a bunch of DMs, messages, and texts about this photo. To that, I say thank you,” she said. “If you sent me a photo of Jim Carrey with long hair, thanks so much.”

Shaw, who has gained popularity online for sharing such an uncanny resemblance with Jim, is a stand-up comedian from New York. She pointed out that getting incessantly reminded that she’s Jim’s lookalike has been unnecessary. “You know, did I need it in my life? Probably not. If I wanted to know what Jim Carrey looked like with long hair, I would look in the mirror,” she added. “Do you know what I mean?”

She went on to scold the conspiracy theorists. “They’re pulling a real Kanye, they’re saying things like ‘This is him talking to you,’ ‘This is his way to get through,'” she continued. In her element, she was able to make light of the situation but did not make her point any less clear.

To conclude her response, Shaw joked about the world imploding if she ever met the Grinch star, hence why she’d rather not. “Other people have said, ‘have you and Jim met yet?’ It’s like no, we can’t meet, the world will implode if we meet,” she answered. “If our faces go together like this, the world explodes. Theories aside, Shaw is on her way to 3 million followers on TikTok, with this particular video amassing more than 160,000 likes. Jim, on the other hand, turned 62 in the company of celebrity friends like Adam Sandler, David Spade, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Green, Howie Mandel, Craig Robinson, Ben Schwartz, Cary Elwes, and Paul Vincent, who all gathered for “The Laugh Supper” at dinner.
