70-Year-Old Hulk Hogan Helps Teen Whose Car Flipped Over

It was just a regular night for most of Tampa last weekend until Hulk Hogan found himself at exactly the right place at exactly the right time. After finishing a meal with his wife, he couldn’t have expected anything unusual to happen – then he had a close-up view of a teen getting into a horrific crash that toppled her car. Fortunately, she had onlookers who were capable of helping.

Hogan, today 70, is technically retired, but his career has long established him as the most popular, recognizable wrestler of the ’80s and one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He was with the WWE back when it was the World Wrestling Federation, and while the names changed, he maintained his ring persona of an all-American hero until his Hollywood renaissance as a villain. But it was the former image he took up again to help an endangered car crash victim.

Hulk Hogan witnessed a car crash and jumped in to help

On Sunday, Hogan, his wife Sky Daily, and a marine friend named Jake were driving down a Florida highway. Along the way, they all witnessed firsthand a terrifying scene. A car ahead reportedly swerved sharply and messily across all lanes to catch an exit it was about to miss. As it attempted this, the car clipped another vehicle, which witnesses say tumbled and flipped completely.

The group pulled over, not only to call authorities but to administer aid themselves. Fortunately, Hulk had some handy tools at the ready and Jake used one to pop the vehicle’s airbag. Hulk and Jake then helped get the young woman out of the car and found her severely shaken.

The pair personally worked to unbuckle her seatbelt and helped her safely leave the ruined vehicle. Fortunately, the young woman did not suffer from severe injuries. However, after getting the driver safely away from the car, the trio still stuck around until paramedics arrived.

After the accident, Hogan’s wife Sky shared the experience on social media.

“Last night, after we left dinner in Tampa, we saw a car flip in front of us,” she shared on Monday. “I truly admire my husband @hulkhogan and our good buddy @jakerask for springing into action, puncturing the girls airbag, and getting her quickly out of the car. By all appearances, she was unscathed, just really rattled, which is an absolute miracle!”
