Knott’s Berry Farm is one of the top-rated theme parks in Southern California, next to Disneyland Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. The site features the world’s first-ever Halloween theme park event, Knott’s Scary Farm, as well as the Calico Mine Ride and Timber Mountain Log Ride.
One of Knott’s Berry’s themed outdoor areas, Campy Snoopy, is undergoing renovations for the first time in ten years, and in order to make room for new rides like Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Twister Coaster and Sally’s Swing Along, some parts of the park have to go.
What attractions will take the hit?
Sadly, Knott’s Berry will be letting go of its oldest attractions, including Huff and Puff, which is the guest-powered minecart that transports kids around Camp Snoopy. January 7 marked the last day for Huff And Puff, and as a proper goodbye to the classic ride, the theme park announced that guests could “earn their Huff and Puff Last Ride merit badge” when they get on board for the final time.

According to the announcement on Knott’s social media page, the Last Ride merit badge will be the first “in a series of limited-edition merit badges that guests can earn each month leading up to the opening day of the reimagined Camp Snoopy!” “Each date will be announced a few days in advance on social media. Collect them all while supplies last!” they added.
Park-goers react
Other areas, like the High Sierra Ferris Wheel and the Rocking Mountain Trucking Company, will be closing with their own badge events as well. Park-goers expressed their sadness at seeing their favorite classic attractions go on X (formerly Twitter), with some hoping its replacement is “similar.” “So many great memories riding this when I was little,” someone wrote.
Another person wished it would be “passed down to a small park that can celebrate it like @FairylandCA.” “Might have to head down with the kiddo to snag one of these!” someone quipped. A grandparent recalled how her now-older kids “rode it when it first opened in the early 80s along with their cousin!” with others reminiscing on the memories they had on the Huff and Puff as well.
