John Stamos Shares One Of The Very Last Photos Of ‘Full House’ Cast With Bob Saget

The camera may have stopped rolling in 1995 but the cast of Full House remained as much a family as their on-screen counterparts. Since 2022, however, they have been mourning the loss of a TV family member following the death of Bob Saget, who played Danny Tanner on the ABC sitcom. Those who remain continue to treasure his memory, with co-star John Stamos recently sharing one of the very last photos the Full House cast took with Saget.

60-year-old John Stamos played Jesse Katsopolis across eight seasons of Full House and in five seasons of Fuller House on Netflix. On October 23, Stamos celebrated the release of his memoir, If You Would Have Told Me, which shares anecdotes from his career and interactions with other actors, including Saget. But he’s also actively used social media to share never-before-seen memories with the late actor, who was 65 when he died unexpectedly from blunt head trauma.

On Thursday, Stamos took to Instagram to share a picture of himself and the rest of the cast of Full House, including Saget.

“One of the last pictures of all of us in San Fran in front of the iconic Painted Lady,” Stamos informed his 4.2 million Instagram followers.

The picture in question is a mix of formal and candid. The cast is neatly posed on a set of brick stairs, arranged with deliberation but completely relaxed in their poses and expressions. Candace Cameron Bure, Saget’s TV daughter D.J., is mid-laugh and Stamos himself is seen grinning from ear to ear while appearing to look right at Saget, who is leaning against David Coulier.

Filling the house again

The individual cast members remain, to varying extends, in each other’s lives, with Jodie Sweetin congratulating her on-screen sister Ashley Olsen upon the latter’s becoming a mother. Fans are eager to see the cast reunite for another program and it’s an idea that the actors might have been up for earlier.

Now, however, they are uncertain.

“It’s just not the same without him,” explained Stamos to E! News back in October 2022. “We’ll continue to do tributes to him, but I don’t know about a Full House one, though.”

Coulier, known as Joey Gladstone in Full House, had some ideas for a spinoff that would be a tribute to Saget. “What I would love to do it bring all the original cast back to where we are older now and we talk about our lives,” he outlined. “We can reflect and tell stories about Danny Tanner and keep his character alive, because he’s very much alive in spirit with all of us. We miss him dearly. I think we would all do it in a heartbeat.”
