Mike Farrell, who played B. J. Hunnicutt in the ‘70s classic M*A*S*H, shared two children with his co-star and ex-wife, Judy Farrell. Their 53-year-old son, Michael, recently posted a photo of himself while working out, and fans could not help but gush over his physique.
Michael posed for the mirror selfie in a blue t-shirt and gray gym shorts with earphones in both ears. A few followers complimented him and left remarks about his huge frame. “Looking good! Miss your face,” someone wrote. “Hulk who?” another added, comparing him to the muscular Marvel superhero.

Mike and Judy welcomed Michael in November 1970, and they changed his name multiple times till they finally agreed on one. “He went through various incarnations over time, from Josh to Michael Josh to MJ to Michael, where it stayed,” Mike said of his son, whom he often refers to as his “golden boy.”

Michael was devastated when he lost his mother, Judy, who died in April at the age of 84. According to TMZ, Michael mentioned that she passed away in the hospital nine days after a stroke, and she was unable to speak during her hospitalization.
In May, he posted a black and white portrait of the late actress with no caption, however, a family member left an encouraging comment for him. “What an incredible force she was. You’re so lucky to have had the best mom, the best cheerleader. To know Judy truly is to love her. Always,” they wrote.
Michael had trouble accepting his stepmom
After Judy divorced Mike in 1983, he married Shelley Fabares the following year, but his children did not easily accept this new romance. Michael and his sister, Erin, had a hard time embracing their stepmom because the divorce “was very hard on them,” in Shelley’s words.
Thankfully, Michael and Erin became comfortable with Shelley, who was previously married to Lou Adler and had a possible fling with Elvis Presley. “It took a lot of love, patience, courage and strength, but now they have two solid homes, which is what we all wanted,” she said.
