John Stamos Opens Up About Bob Saget’s Death During Miami Appearance

It’s been almost two years since the death of Bob Saget, who is renowned for playing Danny Tanner in the beloved sitcom Full House. He died at 65 in his room at a Ritz-Carlton hotel near Williamsburg in Orange County, Florida. His cause of death was determined to be a blunt head trauma resulting from an accidental blow to the back of his head, likely caused by a fall.

Saget’s friend and co-star, John Stamos, who portrayed Uncle Jesse, has recently taken a moment to open up about Bob Saget’s death and talk about his lasting legacy.

The 60-year-old, who has not totally come to terms with Saget’s passing, made an appearance at Tribeca Festival’s Storytellers sessions at Miami Beach Botanical Garden to promote his new memoir If You Would Have Told Me. Stamos explained that when he got the news about Saget, he quickly drove to his friend’s house in Los Angeles.

Stamos told moderator Leila Cobo that he was highly perplexed but became relaxed due to a spectacular event. “I was in his backyard. I was like, ‘Come on Bob, show me a sign,’” he admitted. “And it was quiet, and I said, ‘Bob, tell me you’re OK,’ and nothing. And all of a sudden, this little hummingbird came down. It had red around it, and my mom had red hair, and it was kind of like ‘Bob’s OK.’”
